Jonny Bruce brings his organ quartet to the Bristol Jazz Festival
The Jonny Bruce Quintet. For this new Hammond organ based line-up Jonny has put together a more hard-bop and Blue Note style set. Including tunes from Horace Silver, Roy Hargrove and Stan Getz.
Jonny Bruce has been in some way a part of the Bristol Jazz Festival since its inception. Not only because he is an exceptional world class trumpet player, but also because he is an important part of the Bristol music community and a dear friend.
He is fluent in the whole history of jazz trumpet as he demonstrated some years back in his Trumpet Kings project, in which he covered pieces from Louis Armstrong to Freddie Hubbard.
