About the event
Come and see these spectacular gardens for a summer’s evening of music and American-inspired food and drink. Soak up the stunning views across the Limpley Stoke valley while you enjoy the music and choose from an array of light supper and refreshing drinks options at the all-new American Garden Deli.
John Law's Re-Creations
The idea is really simple: choose some of the best known and most interesting tunes in all genres, jazz, pop, rock, folk, maybe even classical, and give every tune a different twist and create a new work out of it. And however crazy we get with the music, the audience always feels part of the creative process, because they know the tune so well. Current repertoire includes: Smoke on the Water, U Can’t Touch This, Mamma Mia, plus a whole ‘moon set’ including Moondance, Moon River, Fly Me to the Moon and Debussy’s Clair de Lune! (There might be the odd Christmas tune in the repertoire tonight…)
The quartet features Parliamentary Jazz Award Winner Sam Crockatt and they have a stunning new CD just out!
Sam Crockatt - Saxophones
John Law - Piano
Henrik Jensen - Bass
Alex Goodyear - Drums
