Dovetail Ensemble

The Dovetail Ensemble The Dovetail Ensemble gathers wonderful singers from different world traditions to perform pieces that blend styles.  This concert features Özcan Ates, a baglama player and singer from Turkey, and Suhela Aktar, a singer from Bangladesh, accompanied by piano (Jonathan James) and drums (Alex Goodyear). The ensemble is the professional unit from the larger Dovetail Orchestra, which was set up to support asylum-seekers and refugees through regular music-making.
